About IFC Academy

In partnership with the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values, the National Greek Leadership Association and the Southeastern Interfraternity Conference, IFC Academy will continue to be held in conjunction with regional fraternal leadership conferences in 2018. Dates and locations for 2018 are listed below.

Programming will emphasize interfraternal leadership, establishing a community mindset and goals and will take a deep dive into officer-specific training.

Program Highlights

The goal of IFC Academy is to help council officers understand the bigger picture of fraternity and sorority membership, provide nuts-and-bolts training on how to be effective in council officer roles, and engage in council and community goal setting.

IFC Academy is about:

  • Building relationships with members of your council and campus community.
  • Evaluating your personal, community and sorority/fraternity experience.
  • Establishing ownership of your interfraternal experience by exploring your responsibilities and rights.
  • Defining expectations for your officer role and resources available to support your success.
  •  Collaborating with other attendees from your campus to create a plan for interfraternal advancement

Eight Officer Tracks will be offered:

  • President
  • Judicial/risk management officer
  • Internal operations (finance/secretary) officer
  • Recruitment officer
  • Public relations officer
  • Scholarship officer
  • Diversity/inclusion officer
  • Service/philanthropy officer
