The North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) is a trade association committed to promoting cooperative action among its member fraternities, prioritizing research and insights that demonstrate the value of fraternity and supporting partnerships with Interfraternity Councils (IFCs) and host institutions.

The NIC Campus Support program provides services and resources to IFC communities in support of our shared goal of advancing fraternity.

When an IFC pays its annual NIC dues, the community receives benefits including:

  • IFC Insurance Program. IFCs must be a dues-paying council to opt into our IFC Insurance Program.
  • PRIME and IFC Academy, the NIC’s signature training programs for newly-elected officers.
  • Coaching and support from the NIC Campus Support staff.
  • Consultations with trusted subject matter experts and industry partners.
  • Tax filing coaching and guidance.
  • Online IFC resources.
  • Eligible for our IFC Awards recognition and for students to apply for the IFC Advisory Council.
  • Official IFC logo customized with school colors. Interfraternity Council (IFC) is an endorsed, trademarked brand of the NIC.

NIC Campus Support staff is available to reinforce best practices for high-functioning councils and tools to streamline IFC operations, notably our IFC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to help you align with NIC Standards and Positions endorsed by all member fraternities of the NIC. We can help your IFC better align with inter/national fraternity expectations and prioritize key initiatives while thinking strategically. We review council governing documents (Constitution & Bylaws), policy proposals, relationship statements and recognition agreements. We offer PR/crisis response support. We can offer guidance for creation and ongoing support of alumni IFC and fraternity alumni engagement.

Additionally, an IFC’s investment in the NIC Campus Support program helps advance the collective work we do to demonstrate the value of fraternity, champion equal treatment for fraternities as compared to other student organizations, advocate for due process and fairness in organizational conduct, and protect freedom of association and access to the fraternity experience.

Billing rates are assessed by tier, based on the number of IFC chapters as reported through the FS Central chapter listing. Councils paying on time by Sept. 30 receive a 10% discount. Insurance must be paid by Sept. 30 to avoid a gap in insurance coverage.

Councils can also bundle additional programs and resources as a Campus Support Package. These packages are inclusive of IFC dues (insurance is still billed separately), are fully customizable to meet your needs, provide maximum value for your fraternity community at a reduced cost.
